Tap the Menu key to open up the S Memo menus.
Scroll down the menus and then select Copy or Move. FYI, if you select copy, S Memo app will duplicate the selected memo without deleting the original one. If you select move, S Memo app will move the memo and deleting the original one.
Select the required memos you want to copy or move to.
Tap Copy or Move button at the top right corner of the screen.
Tap the required folder where you want to paste or move the memo.
Tap Paste here or Move here button at the top right corner of the screen.
The selected memos have been copied or moved to the selected folder.

Tap the Menu key and then select Create folder.

The selected memo has to be converted first before it can be transferred. There are three file types available that you can select:

PDF file (.pdf): select this option to convert the selected memo to a .pdf file.
S Memo file (.snb): select this option to convert the selected memo to a .snb file.

Tap Bluetooth. If Bluetooth in your phone is off, tap Turn on button to turn it on.
Tap the required device you want to share with. If the selected device accepts your transfer request, the converted memo file will be transferred from your phone to the selected device.

Open S Memo app. All of your memo will be displayed here, either text or handwritten memo.
Tap the Menu key to open up the S Memo menus.
Tap Sort by and then select from the following options:

Date (most recent): select this option to sort your memo by its date (from the newest modified/used memo to the oldest modified/used memo).
Date (oldest): select this option to sort your memo by its date (from the oldest modified/used memo to the newest modified/used memo.
Name: select this option to sort your memo by its name alphabetically.
Tag: select this option to sort your memo by its tag alphabetically.
Favourites: select this option to sort your memo based on how often you use them (from the most frequently used memo to the most rarely used memo).
User settings: select this option to sort your memo based on your latest arrangement when using the "Change order" menu.

Your memo will be sorted with the selected sort order.

Converting memo to a .snb file is one of the way that can be taken to backup your memo. You can choose to save the converted file to your Google Drive account, your Evernote account, or your phone memory or SD card. If needed, you can use that .snb file to retrieve your memo by importing that file to the S Memo app.

You can do so by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app.
Tap the Menu key and then select Import.
To import a memo file from Google Drive go to the step #4, to import a memo file from Evernote go to the step #5, while to import a memo file from your phone memory or SD card go to the step #6.
Importing a memo file from your Google Drive account:

Tap Google Drive. FYI, you can use this option if you have Internet connection and have ever exported your memo as .snb file to your Google Drive account.
Select the required Google Drive account and then tap OK button.
Select the required folder where the memo file you want to import to is placed in.
Select the required memo file (.snb) you want to import to and then tap Done button.
The selected memo file will be imported to the S Memo app.

Importing a memo file from Evernote account:

Tap Evernote. FYI, you can use this option if you have Internet connection and have ever exported your memo as .snb file to your Evernote account.
Select the required folder where the memo file you want to import to is placed in.
Select the required memo file (.snb) you want to import to and then tap Done button.
The selected memo file will be imported to the S Memo app.

Importing a memo file from the phone memory or SD card:

Tap My files. FYI, you can use this option if you have ever exported your memo as .snb file to your phone memory or SD card.
Navigate to the folder where the memo file you want to import to is placed in.
Select the required memo file (.snb) you want to import to and then tap Done button.
The selected memo file will be imported to the S Memo app.

Tap Google Drive. FYI, you can use this option if you have Internet connection and a Google Drive account.
Select the required Google Drive account and then tap OK button.
Select the required folder to save the exported file.
Tap Done button.
The selected memos will be converted to a .snb file and exported to the selected Google Drive account.

Export memo as .snb file to your Evernote account:

Tap Evernote. FYI, you can use this option if you have Internet connection and an Evernote account.
If it's the first time, you'll be asked to enter the username and password of your Evernote account. Tap Login button.
Select the required folder to save the exported file.
Tap Done button.
The selected memos will be converted to a .snb file and exported to your Evernote account.

Export memo as .snb file to your internal memory or SD card:

Tap My files.
Tap S Memo file (.snb).
Navigate to the required folder in your internal memory or SD card where you want to save the exported file to.
Tap Done button.
The selected memos will be converted to a .snb file and exported to the selected folder.

Importing a backup file using the restore option within S Memo app is one of the ways that can be taken to retrieve your memos in case you lose them for whatever reason, e.g: when you have accidentally deleted your memo, when you have performed clearing the S Memo data procedure, etc. You can use this way if you have ever backed up your memo to your SD card.

How to restore memo using a backup file in S Memo app?
You can import a backup file in your SD card to the S Memo app to retrieve your memo by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app.
Tap the Menu key to open up the S Memo menus.
Scroll the menus to the very bottom and then tap Backup and restore.
Tap Restore from memory card.
Navigate to the SMemoExports folder in your SD card. All memo backup files (.snbkp files) will be listed here.
If you have some backup files, select the latest backup file. FYI, backup file name usually contains with the date and time, as the example: SMemo2_backup_06292015_172634.snbkp means this file was created on June 29, 2015 at 17:26:34.
Tap Done button.
The selected backup file will be imported to the S Memo app.

This can help you retrieve your memos if you have accidentally lost them. When you have inserted a micro SD card into your Samsung Galaxy S4, you can utilize the backup option within S Memo app to backup your memos as .snbkp file to your SD card.

How to backup memos to SD card in S Memo app?
You can do so by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app.
Tap the Menu key to open up the S Memo menus.
Scroll the menus to the very bottom and then tap Backup and restore.
Tap Backup to memory card.
A pop up window will appear to tell you some information about your backup file. Tap OK button to continue.
You'll be asked whether you want to share your backup file. Feel free to tap Cancel button to skip this step.
Your memos have been successfully backed up as .snbkp file to the SMemoExports folder in your SD card.

If needed, you can easily delete unused memos, either text or handwritten memos, in S Memo app. But, if the memo you want to delete is a locked memo, you have to unlock it first by entering the password before you can delete it.

How to delete a memo in S Memo app?
If the memo you want to delete is not secured with a password, you can easily delete the memo by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app. All of your memos will be displayed here.
To delete a single memo go to the step #3, while to delete multiple memos go to the step #4.
Delete a single memo:

Long tap the required memo you want to delete and then select Delete.
Tap OK button.
The selected memo has been deleted.

Delete multiple memos:

Tap the Menu key and then select Delete.
Select the required memos you want to delete.
Tap Delete button at the top right corner of the screen.
Tap OK button.
The selected memos have been deleted.

How to delete a locked memo?
If the memo you want to delete is secured with a password, you have to unlock it first before deleting it. You can do so by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app. All of your memos will be displayed here and locked memos will have a padlock icon .
Long tap the locked memo you want to delete and then select Unlock.
Enter the password to unlock the selected memo and then tap OK button. If the password is correct, the selected memo will be unlocked.
Now, long tap the memo you have just unlocked and then select Delete.
Tap OK button.
The selected memo has been deleted.

S Memo app in Samsung Galaxy S4 lets you secure your important memos, either text or handwritten memos, with password to avoid unauthorized users accessing your memos. When a memo has been locked, everyone has to enter the password to open, share, export, rename, edit or delete the memo.

How to lock a memo in S Memo app?
You can set a password for a memo to secure it by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app. All of your memos will be displayed here.
Long tap the required memo to open up the options and then select Lock.
Enter a password to lock the selected memo two times.
Tap OK button.
A padlock icon will appear as a sign that the selected memo has been locked.

As a note, without entering the password, the locked memo will stay locked and unfortunately there's no way to retrieve the password. Thus, to avoid forgetting your S Memo password, it'd better if you write down the password somewhere else safe so that you can use it when you forget your S Memo password.

Samsung Galaxy S4: How to Create a Handwritten Memo Using S Memo App in Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

S Memo app in Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with two modes. First, the text mode that will let you create memos by entering text using virtual keyboard or voice dictation feature. Second, the drawing mode that will let you create handwritten memos by drawing your memo using your finger. As same as when you create a text memo, you can also complete your handwritten memo by inserting pictures, voice recording and maps into your memo.

How to use S Memo app to create a handwritten memo?
You can do so by using the following steps:

Open S Memo app.
Tap at the top of the screen to enter the drawing mode and start making a handwritten memo.
If needed, before drawing your memo, you can change the pen settings by using the following steps:

Tap at the top of the screen to open up the pen settings.
There are five pen types available. Tap the required pen type you want to use.
To adjust the pen thickness, slide the pen thickness adjustment bar to the right to increase the pen thickness or to the left to decrease the pen thickness.
To change the pen color, tap the required pen color you want to use or you can tap to get more colors for your pen.
Tap to close the pen settings.

Now, you can draw your memo using your finger.
If you have drawn something wrong in your memo, tap at the top of the screen to use the eraser tool and then rub the screen using your finger to erase the wrong memo. If needed, you can change the eraser tool settings by using the following steps:

Tap at the top of the screen to open up the eraser tool settings.
To adjust the eraser tool size, slide the eraser tool size adjustment bar to the right to increase the eraser size or to the left to decrease the eraser size.
To quickly clear all your handwritten memo, tap Clear all button.
You can also undo your last drawing by tapping at the top of the screen, or redo your last drawing by tapping at the top of the screen.

If needed, you can insert an object into your memo by tapping at the bottom of the screen and then select from the following options:

Take picture: tap this option to insert a picture taken with the stock Camera app.
Images: tap this option to insert a picture from the stock Gallery app.
Clipboard: tap this option to insert a copied picture from the clipboard.
Maps: tap this option to insert a captured location from the Google Maps app. FYI, this option works if your phone has Internet connection.
Clip art: tap this option to insert a picture from the provided clip art.

If you have inserted an object(e.g: picture, clip art, etc) into your memo, you can do the following actions:

Resize: tap and hold the object to select it and then drag the edge of the object to resize it. Tap the background to deselect object.
Move: tap and hold the object and then drag it using your finger to move the object. Tap the background to deselect the object.
Delete: tap and hold the object to select it and then tap to delete the object.
Rotate: tap and hold the object to select it and then tap
or tap to rotate the object. Tap the background to deselect the object.

If needed, you can insert a voice recording into your memo by using the following steps:

Tap at the bottom of the screen. A voice recorder window will appear in your screen.
Tap Record button to start recording.
While recording, you can stop recording(this will add the recording to your memo automatically), pause/resume recording or discard recording.
After recording, you can replay, replace or delete the recording.

Tap at the bottom of the screen to add a new page for your handwritten memo.
Tap at the bottom of the screen to review your handwritten memo in the view mode. While you're in this mode, you can do the following actions:

Zoom in: spread two fingers apart together.
Zoom out: pinching the screen.
Move between pages: swipe the screen to the left or to the right.
Return to the edit mode: tap at the bottom of the screen to return to the edit mode.

Tap Save button at the top right corner to save your memo.
Enter the name for your handwritten memo and then tap OK button.
Your handwritten memo has been saved.

S Memo app is a note application in Samsung Galaxy S4 that you can use to create simple memos with ease. You can type your memo using the virtual keyboard and complete your memo by inserting pictures, voice recording and maps into your memo.

How to use S Memo app to create a text memo?
You can do so by using the following steps:

Open the stock S Memo app.
Tap at the top of the screen to enter the text mode and start making a text memo.
Now, you can type your memo using the virtual keyboard.
If needed, you can insert an object into your memo by tapping above the keyboard and then select from the following options:

Take picture: tap this option to insert a picture taken with the stock Camera app.
Images: tap this option to insert a picture from the stock Gallery app.
Clipboard: tap this option to insert a copied picture from the clipboard.
Maps: tap this option to insert a captured location from the Google Maps app. FYI, this option works if your phone has Internet connection.

Samsung Galaxy S4: How to Change Sound Profile in Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

There are three sound profiles available in Samsung Galaxy S4. First, sound mode which will set your phone to play a sound for incoming calls, notifications, media and system. Second, vibration mode which will set your phone to play a sound for media, vibrate for incoming calls and notifications, but silence the system. Third, Silent mode(mute) which will set your phone to silence all sounds except the media. If needed, you can change the sound profile with ease according to your need, for instance, you can place your phone to the silent mode while you're in a meeting so that your phone won't play any sound or vibrate that can disturb others.

How to change the sound profile?
You can do so by using three different methods: from the notifications panel, from the quick settings panel and from the settings menu.

Method #1: From the notifications panel

On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel.
Tap Sound/Vibrate/Mute button to change the sound profile. The button will change depending on the sound profile you're using:

: this button will display when the sound profile is set to sound mode.
: this button will display when the sound profile is set to vibration mode.
: this button will display when the sound profile is set to silent mode.

Method #2: From the quick settings panel

On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen using two fingers to open up the quick settings panel.
Tap Sound/Vibrate/Mute button to change the sound profile. The button will change depending on the sound profile you're using:

: this button will display when the sound profile is set to sound mode.
: this button will display when the sound profile is set to vibration mode.
: this button will display when the sound profile is set to silent mode.

Method #3: From the settings menu
You can change the sound profile using the following steps if your Samsung Galaxy S4 has been updated to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop:

On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notifications panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
Tap My device tab.
Tap Sounds and notifications.
Tap Interruptions.
Tap Sound mode and then select from the following options:

Sound: select this option to place your phone in sound mode.
Vibrate: select this option to place your phone in vibration mode.
Mute: select this option to place your phone in silent mode.
